After months of scorching heat, it finally rained in Delhi. I couldn’t help sitting on my porch watching the rain wash my bike deliberately parked outside. And boy, it’s shines in full glory now! This is just a quick little post on how perfect the rain was
Here I am! Lost in the light of the moon, that comes through my window Sitting at my office desk, staring at my macbook screen, feeling sleepier as ever. This was expected to be a long weekend, courtesy the ‘Bharat bandh’ organized by some political party.

If you happen to my friend on FaceBook, you probably already know how desparately I was waiting for the rains. Being in New Delhi, I think it’s normal to expect the seasons a little late. So here it is. Last night it rained, which kept me up till 4 am. On a side note, you have no idea how much you can enjoy the 80′s music on your porch while it rains cats and dogs outside.

Luckily there wasn’t any powercuts, which is something you can easily expect in ANY of the the Indian cities, sans Bangalore of course. And then there is a Bharat bandh today, which seems to have failed completely in Delhi. The cars and rickshaws are running normally, and the shops/markets are open and doing business as usual. That includes my office too. Apparently this bandh was organized to counter the fuel price hike. I’m not sure how on earth this bandh can help manage inflation, but then you don’t actually ‘understand’ a lot of things in India, you just have to get used to it. ’nuff said.
